Properties

Support Graphene Set BASIC

A chloride-free set-accelerating and antifreeze admixture that speeds up the hardening of concretes and mortars while lowering the freezing point of the mixing water, preventing damage to concrete that is expected to be affected by low temperatures — or even frost — in the hours following placement.

Accelerates setting and hardening, keeping hydration from being inhibited by low temperatures.

Gives the concrete enough strength to withstand frost exposure in the hours following placement.

Lowers the freezing point of the water, reducing the risk of ice crystals forming.

Water containing 2% Support Graphene Set freezes at approximately −5 °C.

Support Graphene Set-R

A retarding admixture that lets you regulate the initial and final setting time of the concrete by adjusting the dosage to the needs of the job. Particularly suited to large-volume elements, hot-weather concreting, long-distance transport and roller-compacted concrete (RCC).

Minimises shrinkage cracking.

Extends the open time for placing.

Increases long-term mechanical strength.

Allows re-tempering mortars to be produced for treating cold joints in vibrated and compacted concretes.

Use and supply

Dosage

Set BASIC, 0.5–4% by weight of cement. Set-R, 0.2–2.5% by weight of cementitious material (cement + additions).

How to use

Added to the concrete together with the mixing water. They may also be added on site directly into the mixer truck, allowing the time needed for full homogenisation.

Packaging

In bulk by tanker, in 1,100–1,200 kg containers, 220–250 kg drums and 5, 25 and 30 kg jerrycans.

Storage

Up to 18 months (Set BASIC) and 12 months (Set-R) in the original, tightly sealed container, in a cool, dry place protected from frost and extreme temperatures.

Compatibility

Consult our Technical Department regarding compatibility between admixtures before use.

Standards

The recommendations on cold-weather concreting set out in the Spanish Structural Concrete Code (EHE-08, Art. 71.5.3.1) must be observed.

Preliminary testing

Dosages are indicative. Preliminary trials are recommended to determine the optimum dosage for each application.

Cleaning

Equipment and tools soiled with the product can be cleaned with water, preferably hot.

Preliminary testing with our Technical Department

We work with you to determine the optimum dosage for your precast plant and verify compatibility between admixtures.
