Project of the European Union and ICEX. The project by Graphenano Smart Materials, in collaboration with the Centro Tecnológico de la Construcción de Murcia (CTCON), was second among more than 600 projects submitted nationwide.
Research and development of beton and micromortars with graphene, allowing to increase our current knowledge on high-strength concrete with nanoparticles.
The high strength concretes are those with high cement content and low water / cementitious material, whose compressive strength is ≥ 100 MPa. Currently, this type of concrete is used in the construction of structural elements because of its high ductility.
Beton, moreover, is characterized by a maximum arid size of less than 0.5 mm in its mixtures. Thus, the ultimate goal of this project is to get microconcretes of more than 180MPa after 28 days, high ductility and flexibility, integrating graphene into the matrix of the composite.
