GRAPHENANO DEVELOPS A MICROMORTER REINFORCED WITH GRAPHENE FOR COATINGS

During 2018 the business Graphenano has developed a micromorter reinforced with graphene nanomaterials for coatings, for which it has received financial aid from the Instituto de Fomento de la Región de Murcia in the 2017 call for grants to incentivize the hiring of innovation services (innovation cheque) co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

OBJECTIVE

The general objective of this service has been the development of a new micromorter for its application in coatings of small thickness, based on the use of graphene nanomaterials as an addition. For that purpose, the formulation of the micromorters, as well as the way the nanomaterials employed are dispersed have been defined, and all resultant products have been characterized.

DEVELOPMENT

Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the formulations made with graphene nanomaterials improve the behavior against abrasion, impact, adherence and superficial scraping in reference to a conventional micromorter or microcement.
